Top 10 List

For my top 10 list I will be doing my top ten favorite types of dances.
The first dance I have chose is Tap. I choose tap as my number one because I am better at tap than I am at the other types of dances. Also I like tap better because all the dances have great rhythm. My second favorite would be Jazz. I choose Jazz over the others because I like how all your moves need to be big and on point. My third favorite would be Ballet. I like Ballet because it is very calm, and you have to be graceful while dancing. My fourth favorite would be Modern. Modern is a lot like Ballet, your moves have to be graceful and pretty. What I like about Modern is that it focuses more on the expression of inner feelings, than outer feelings. Hip-hop would be my fifth favorite. I've never been a big fan of Hip-hop dances, because I feel like they don't look as good as Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. My sixth favorite would be Country Western dancing, at my dance studio we don't do many dances like that, unless we do a tap dance that has Country Western music to it. Swing dancing would be my seventh choice. I don't really like Swing dancing, and we don't do much of it in the studio. Usually the only thing we do like it is dance with partners. I don't like dancing with partners that much because it makes the dancing more difficult. Latin dance would be my eighth choice, it's very fast paced, and quick hip movement. Usually we do it in Jazz. Flamenco dancing would be my ninth choice, it usually just deals with hand and foot movement. We usually only use that in Modern or Ballet sometimes. Belly dancing would be my tenth choice. I don't like belly dancing, and I don't really consider it a type of dance, because you only move your stomach. Those are my reasons for choosing different dances over each other.

How-to Guide

Step one

Step two
Step three
Step four
Step six
Step five
Step seven
Step eight
Step nine

Step one: Make sure you have out all the ingredients that you'll need to make macaroni
Step two: Put 6 cups of water in your bowl, and boil the water
Step three: Once the water is boiled put the macaroni noodles in the water and let them cook up to 8 minutes
Step four: After you let the noodles cook use a drain to let all the water off the noodles
Step five: Put noodles in a bowl and add 4 tablespoons of butter/margarine
Step six: Add 1/4 cup of milk
Step seven: Add the cheese sauce mix
Step eight: Make sure you stir up all the ingredients very well
Step nine: Once you've stirred everything up your macaroni is done
Note: You may add salt or pepper to the macaroni to give it more flavor

I think my guide on how to make macaroni would be good to use because my pictures and steps are very detailed on what you would need to do/use while making your macaroni and cheese.

Prompt 2: Review a movie

The Vow is a movie that was inspired by a true story. The Vow contains two people deeply in love and recently married. They were both involved in a car accident that leaves Paige (Rachel McAdams) in a coma. She struggles with horrible brain trauma, and when she wakes up she suffers with severe loss of her memory. She does not remember being married to her husband Leo (Channing Tatum). Paige’s husband Leo is determined to make Paige fall in love with him again, and regain to memory of the great love they have for each other. The Vow shows lots of ups and downs of Paige and Leo’s relationship, as Leo tries to help Paige regain her memory. At the end of the movie Paige does regain her love for Leo back, but she still never did regain her memory.
The image above is of them about to get in the car accident. I think this picture represents this movie very well because Paige getting in the accident is what caused her to lose her memory. In the image you can see the head lights of the truck that is about to hit them.
In my opinion I thought this was a great movie. It shows that people will go to great lengths to show someone how much they love you. Also it’s very inspiring to me, it shows that no matter how bad things are you can make good out of the bad. For my rating I would give this movie an 8, I like the way it was based on a true story, that way you know everything really happened, it makes the movie more inspiring to me.
Ways they could have improved The Vow, is they could have had Paige regain her memory. I feel like it would have made the story and ending better. But since it was based on a true story they could not have Paige regain her memory if the women in real life did not. But besides that, I don’t really see anything they could have improved, it was just a great movie/story overall.

Prompt 3:Technology

http://www.technologyreview.com/article/425905/world-without-walls/

The article I read about technology talked about how people thought that technology would mess up privacy for people. Such as Facebook, if you're friends with someone on Facebook you can see everything they put on their account. The article also talked about the Fourth Amendment which states a legal right to privacy correspondence. It also said that there was a certain age you had to be to join a networking site, but people could easily lie about the year they were born. In 2006 a new information sharing site was made called "Fusion Center" it is a site made for the federal state and local government so they can pick up and share "fuse" knowledge with one another and the representatives of private companies and foreign governments.  I do believe in privacy, but in my opinion you should not put anything on the internet that you would not want others seeing. Also you can make your page to any social networking site private, so that any out side people are not able to view your things. But you still have to keep in mind anything you put on the internet is there forever. In the future, I see more and more people adding to the social networking sites, because some people don't think about privacy on the internet, they just make their accounts thinking that they will have privacy on it. Another reason is it's a good way to keep in touch with family that lives in different countries, and current/old friends.
